On 03.05.2022, the foundation stone was ceremoniously laid for the new residential building on the former commercial property at Quedlinburger Straße 45. The developer is WBM Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte mbH.
A total of 146 flats with a day-care centre and a neighbourhood meeting place are currently being built here (design by DMSW Architekten). Modular floor plans initially allow for the accommodation of refugees and later conversion into small flats for students and flats with up to 95 m² for families.
DGI Bauwerk is responsible for the tendering, contracting and construction management.
