A holistic approach for Smart Cities in India

The Indo-German Smart Initiative has been invited by the German Indian Round Table Berlin [GIRT]

The German-Indian Round Table in Berlin meets every second month. Head of the GIRT Berlin is Dr. Andreas Waldraff, who is also the current chairman of the GIRT. The objective of the GIRT is to spread information about India and the facilitation of Indo-German business ties.
The topic of the current meeting on October 10, 2016 at the Business Location Center of Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH was the urban development under the term Smart Cities India.
The difficult access to the Indian market of German architects and engineers, in particular because of their medium-sized structure, led to the merger of four Berlin architect companies [gmp international, DGI Bauwerk, Patzschke & Partner, se•g architekten] to the Indo-German Smart Initiative [IGSI]. In addition, an expanded network with numerous Berlin companies and the Technical University has been established.
This network and the special approach of IGSI were presented by the architects Christina Gresser [seg•architekten] and Robert Patzschke [Patzschke & Partner] under the title ‘Indo-German Smart Initiative [IGSI] – a holistic approach for Smart Cities in India’. Active discussions and more questions were initiated by the outlined approaches in the presentation.
