The Clemens-Brentano-Grundschule in Berlin’s Steglitz-Zehlendorf district was funded by the Investment Programme for all-day-schools. The increased space requirements could be compensated by the new building. It fits into the small-scale dense development of the consistent urban and listed buildings from the turn of the century. On the ground floor are the public areas such as the dining room, entrance and group room, which are flexibly switchable for larger events. Multicoloured glazed wooden windows are shifted relative to each other and create a cheerful and playful accent.
